Reporting for Duty:
Well, I am switching between PBS and NBC coverage of Kerry's speech and I have to say that Tom Brokaw says some strangely negatively things. 'Son of Affluent parents'... like thats a problem. Come on, everyone knows that its not where you were born but what you do with it. Hes ocming across as Kind of a mommas boy, but then again, who isnt? Oohhh he said he C word, no, not that word, Communism! Its just a Red Herring!

DNC - Edwards Does Boston, Hard.

I like the speech so far, hes on a good roll, few mistakes or umm moments, but he said that we will 'destroy' our enemies...I think this is a bit too strong. Im wondering what the motivation was, maybe to act tougher I suppose. Its also funny when he says "John and I, or John and this or that' because it sounds like he is talking about himself in the third person. First or 100th, its all good.

WDM: All about the GATS campaign

Gats, or the general agreement on trade in service, is quite possibly one of the scariest concepts of our age. Imagine in our current world of terror induced flux and barbed rhetoric, that and agreement on trade, to further the insatiable appetite of global corporations, under the thinly veiled guise of 'free trade', could do more damage than 1,000 successful terrorits attacks! No, few can imagine that, because we have been force-fed the pros of global trade, market deregulation, lower tariff barriers, open borders. Spear headed by the Medusa that is the World Trade Organization (WTO), with plenty of lackies to help prop up and support their 'glocal' (global to local) tentacles. These include the international monetary fund (IMF), and the World Bank. To help tie up and inter-twine all of 'us', all of the media prescribed 'them' (you know, those poor bastards who are pad 36cents a day for taking YOUR job), big business, world leaders, the whole lot, is the nearly undetectable, otherworldly structural support systems that is a bureaucracy at its finest. The WTO hen is mother to the genetically modified boneless lumps pf chicken-flesh that are NAFTA, Plan Columbia, and the proposed 'Free trade zone of the Americas'. Together they layer autocratic systems of decision-making that can forge or undue domestic laws through its decisions, whether the dispute is between a socialist country, a democracy, or dictatorship. That my friends, is truly a nightmare we need to awake from.

Victory in 2004--and Beyond

The key to our democratic future and for success this fall is having a good idea, and an even better implementation of that idea. Here is a start.

Wednesday, July 14, 2004 - Same-sex marriage Senate battle over, war is not - Jul 14, 2004 it just me or do Sen. Frist and Daniels make a cute couple?

Fresh Air: Wednesday - July 7, 2004

Everyone should hear This soldiers story, and while I do not personally agree with everything he says or did, he was there, I wasn't. He's only 23. Imagine what you were doing or imagine what you will be doing when you are that age. His story kind of over shadows anything I have done.

Memorable Quotes from Fahrenheit 9/11 (2004):

Everyone needs to see this film.

Never truer words have been spoken:
"It's not a matter of whether the war is not real, or if it is, Victory is not possible. The war is not meant to be won, it is ment to be continuous. Hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance. This new version is the past and no different past can ever have existed. In principle the war effort is always planned to keep society on the brink of starvation. The war is waged by the grueling group against its own subjects and its object is not the victory over either Eurasia or East Asia but to keep the very structure of society intact. " - fahrenheit 9/11
